S-Style 5′ X 3′ Ladder Frame Set W/ 7′ Bracing

This is the shortest s-style frame that we sell, making it great for small areas or getting a little extra height out of a tower. Our 5′ x 3′ frame meets and/or exceeds all OSHA regulations. This frame has one ladder rung and uses our gravity flip locks. To maximize the life and longevity of our scaffold frames we apply blue polyester powder-coating.

S-Style 5′ X 4′ Ladder Frame Set W/ 7′ Bracing

This frame is a foot shorter than the commonly used 5′ X 5′ scaffold frame, allowing a bit more flexibility within a configuration. It’s great for small areas or getting a little extra height out of a tower. Our 5′ x 4′ frame meets and/or exceeds all OSHA regulations. This frame has one ladder rung and uses our gravity flip locks. To maximize the life and longevity of our scaffold frames we apply blue polyester powder-coating.

S-Style 5′ X 5′ Ladder Frame Set W/ 7′ Bracing

This frame is the most common s-style frame we sell. The 5′ x 5′ pattern is perfect for building towers and custom configurations. Our 5′ x 5′ frame meets and/or exceeds all OSHA regulations. This frame has two ladder rungs and uses our gravity flip locks. To maximize the life and longevity of our scaffold frames we apply a blue polyester powder-coating.

S-Style 5′ X 6’4″ Ladder Frame Set W/ 7′ Bracing

This set will help you create a higher platform with less frames. The benefit to using this set over using the 5′ X 5′ set is cost. A 20′ tower can be built with three sets of 6’4″ tall vs four sets of 5′ tall, saving around $100 in material cost. The disadvantage to using this frame is that it is heavier. The 6’4″ tall set weighs approximately 10 lb heavier than the 5′ tall set. Our 5′ X 6’4″ set meets and/or exceeds all OSHA regulations. The frames have three ladder rungs and utilize gravity flip locks for cross brace attachment. To maximize the life and longevity of our scaffold sets we apply a high visibility blue polyester powder-coating.

Types of Scaffolding
Scaffolding provides an above-ground platform to support you and your supplies while you work. It’s especially helpful for larger jobs where using a ladder would mean continuously climbing up and down and moving it as you completed the work. For home improvement projects, you’ll most likely use trestle scaffolding, which consists of scaffold planks supported by A-frame legs like those of a ladder.

For Pros working on construction sites, rolling or portable scaffolds might be more efficient. These are designed with one or more scaffold stages for workers to stand on. They have locking casters, so you can easily move them where you need to and secure them in place for safety.

Scaffolding Material
The majority of scaffolding is constructed from aluminum or steel. Aluminum scaffolding is ideal for less demanding conditions, while steel scaffolding offers the extra strength and durability needed to support heavier loads. You can buy scaffolding in sections or as individual components to create a customized scaffold system that fits your needs.

Whether you’re painting your home’s siding, repairing window frames or tackling some other project above arm’s reach, Lowe’s has the ladders and scaffolding you need to get the job done — online and in store.
